War On Mites

This quick guide to getting rid of mites should be of some help to some of you with parasite problems.

Tips on how to avoid mites:

Never introduce ANY WC reptiles into your collection,
until they have been QUARANTINED!!!

Tips on how to get rid of mites:

Ok, first you want to get a can of BLACK KNIGHT.
It is not cheap but gets rid of them on contact.
You can get it off www.kingsnake.com for about 20.00
a can. In my opinion it is the best mite killer on the market.

INSTRUCTIONS:
First take the water out of the snake's cage,
spray the cage, substrate & snake just a little, just do not get it in the snakes eyes or mouth. After the BLACK KNIGHT spray settles down(3hrs) you can put the water bowl back in the cage. If the mites appear again(which is unlikely)repeat the process. Do this about once every month. You should wear a mask during the process. If your snake is sticking it's head up in the air for a long time that means you sprayed to much Black Knight in its cage, if this takes place air the cage out immediately. Remember, only spray the cage and snake for a very, very short period of time, like half a second per cage.
