Kenya's Jungle Herps <><
Who am I?
My name is Ben Hillman. I live near Houston, Tx. I have been home shcooled my entire life. I have been working with snakes since 1998. I think I am interested in snakes so much because my mom almost stepped on a snake the day before I was born.
I am starting my snake business, "Kenya's Jungle Herps," breeding Ball Pythons, 50/50 Cal.
Kings and het. for albino abberant Cal. kings. In the next couple of years I will be adding on a few more breeding projects. My hobbies are breeding herps, herp hunting, paintball, running(cross country), building herp enclosures and surfing the web for as much information about herps as I can.

My Beginning in the Reptile Business
For all amateur reptile hobbyists, you should know that I did not just start out with a really expensive pair of snakes! It took about a year or more of convincing my parents to let me own my first snake and now I have managed to work it up to 14 snakes. To start my business, I had to work my way up from an inexpensive kingsnake to a pair of ball pythons, a pair of 50/50 Cal. kings &
Striped albino Cal. king X desert phase Cal. king pair which I am breeding now. I slowly made money by doing yard work for neighbors and selling stuff, etc... My Dad even made me write up a business plan before I could breed my first pair of snakes since I did get a small loan from a few family members for this project. I had to show him and them that I had a successful plan in place to pay everyone back WITH interest! This was hard work, but worth it. So be encouraged! Anyone determined enough to start a business will succeed!
